Preface
This book is intended to meet a pressing need. Every day, large numbers of people contact executive search firms in the hope of finding a job or a non-executive directorship. Many of them do so without fully understanding the business of headhunting. We looked for a book to help such candidates, without success - and therefore decided to write one of our own.
This material has been developed from workshops that we have run (initially for graduates of INSEAD and the London Business School), on how to find your way through the executive search industry. The book is based on our experience with both executives and non-executive directors.
