[email protected] Abraham is the executive director of theCentre for Internet and Society (CIS), Bangalore.CIS is a four-year-old policy and academicresearch organization that focuses on accessibilityfor the disabled, intellectual property rights policyreform, openness (Free/Open Source Software,Open Standards, Open Content, Open Access,and Open Educational Resources), internetgovernance, telecom, digital natives, and digitalhumanities.He is also the founder of Mahiti, a socialenterprise aiming to reduce the cost andcomplexity of information and communicationtechnology for the voluntary sector by using freesoftware. Abraham continues to serve on theboard of Mahiti. He is an Ashoka fellow and waselected for a Sarai FLOSS fellowship. For threeyears, Abraham also managed the InternationalOpen Source Network, a project of the UnitedNations Development Programme's Asia-PacificDevelopment Information Programme, serving42 countries in the Asia-Pacific region.Abraham currently serves on the advisory boardsof Mahiti, Samvada, and the International Centrefor Free/Open Source Software.
