Magyar Magic - Hungary in Focus 2004 is a year-long celebration of Hungarian art and talent, under the patronage of Her AAajesty tiie Queen and Dr Ferenc AAidI, President of ttie Republic of Hungary, to mark Hungar/s entry into the European Union in May 2004. Magyar Magic was launched in November 2003 and runs right through 2004, not only in London but in many other towns and cities throughout Britain, ranging from Belfast to Edinburgh, from Cardiff to LK/erpool.
The festival is presented by the Hungarian Cultural Centre in London on behalf of the Mnistry of Cultural Heritage in Budapest, and in collaboration with Visiting Arts and a host of partners and sponsors, whose generous cooperation is gratefully acknowledged.
This second programme gives details of events between March and July 2004 in London, Cambridge, Cheltenham and Liverpool. A further programme will cover the period from August to the end of November 2004. A full-colour illustrated souvenir booklet will also be available at all events. This will feature articles about Hungarian culture and about some of the key events during Magyar Magic, and interviews with participants and with leading figures in the arts, both British and Hungarian.
