Bővebb ismertető
IMMHHBPrefaceSpecimina Nova (SN), as indicateti m the cover blurb, is the an-nually published collection of foreign language scientific publications of the Department of Modem History, the Department of Contemporary History and the "Europe and Hungary in the 18-20th Century" Doctor's Course in History of the Faculty of Hu-manities at the University of'Pécs, which is intended to provide information for foreign universities, colleagues, sister depart-ments and institutions in the first place. SN comprises both the works of qualified, experienced teachers of the departments and of young beginning historians, promising Ph.D. students. Simi-larly to ali volumes of collections linked with a place of research, as follows from above, SN also had to undertake a certain level of eclecticism, as the teacher-researcher colleagues of the individuai departments work on different topics and use different languages during their work. Consciously representing this heterogeneity, we believe that this periodical, funded by the Rectorship, gives general survey of the current researches of Hungarian historians working here. We do not think that linguistic multi-colouredness is a disadvantage but rather a value of the volume, which receives essays written in any of the international languages if high-standard enough. As this way, the newly published results of a certain segment of the Hungarian historical science, of the circle of the teacher-researchers linked with the University of Pécs written in different languages become available for the greatest vari-ety of foreign research workshops. And in today's Europe live international professional relations are indispensable condition of the high-level study of any field of science.
