ForewordThis booklet is not much bigger than one of those pocket calendars where people on foreign trips jot down a note or merely the name of a place they have visitedZürich, for instance. Every visitor to our city will carry away with him his own personal reminiscences of it. And yet we hope that his memories will bear the mark of all he has seen here. That is the purpose of the rather loose collections of pictures and short notes, which reproduce what seems to us particu-larly characteristic, or what we are particu-larly fond of.It is no use pretending that we are not proud of our city; that is obvious even in this little booklet and perhaps will bring a smile to the face of somé readers.
