FOREWORD
The mail tumbles into our office by the sackful and I've noticed a trend in the last years: envelopes decorated by stamped images. People stamp funny messages like "100% guaranteed overdue thanks" and whimsical images like goofy cats (especially cats).
I've seen stamped clothing, too—vests, scarves, overalls, hats (many have cats on them).
Now Nancy Ward shows us how to stamp almost anything—paper, fabric, wood, clay, even Pet Rocks (but not cats).
As in Fabric Painting Made Easy, I admire the useful tidbits that Nancy shares: make an easy fusible
patch by stamping on mending tape; plastic collar stays spread gluestick better than anything; for a fast Halloween mask, you can even stamp faces (cat faces, no doubt). Since I'm word-based, I intend to stock up on stamp supplies for do-it-yourself postcards, knowing that if I can't find the right stamp locally, I can pursue her excellent mail-order list.
From reading this book, I see that a stamp exists somewhere for every whim. What's yours? Get ready for stamping fun.
