Hints on How to Use this Book Thanks to the enthusiastic reception given to The Big Book of Puzzles we have prepared more of the same kinds of puzzles (but with new twists to them!) in this Second Big Book of Puzzles. As before, you will find a great many different types of puzzles in this book. Many are brand new. One or two have never seen the inside of a book before and, once more, we couldn't resist including some old chestnuts. In fact there is something for all the family. There are two main types of puzzles here - word puzzles and maths brain-teasers. The word puzzles include anagrams, acrostics, crosswords, hidden words in sentences, spelling bees, word meanings and dictionary tests. The maths ones cover number tricks, magic squares, paper cutting, reasoning maps and trick questions to try on your friends! The artist has also added some find-the-mistake-pictures and games.
