FOREWORD To set out in printed form advice how one may develop any psychic gift is a difficult task, but it is hoped that this book will be of somé service to those wlio desire to heal the sick. Medical and technical terms have been avoided. If somé readers may find its simplicity irksome, the reason is that the book is designed to help those who know nothing about spirit healing. Many ofthe methods suggested are contrary to common ideas held by somé healers. No apology is ofFered for this. During past years there has been adopted much traditional technique that serves no purpose and which it is wise to avoid. It will be found that there are repetitions; these are deliberately given in order to recall them to the reader's mind, for they are pertinent to the phase of healing that is being dealt with, and save time searching for previous references. I wish to pay tribute for the very great help given by Olive Burton during the writing of this book. Her observations from many healing sessions have helped to clarify much that would have been obscure. She has introduced ideas that might have been overlooked and modified somé of my references that might have been considered too critical. Her close co-operation in every stage of the compilation of this book has been of the utmost assistance. Harry Edwards. Burrows Lea, Shere, Surrey. March, 1950.
