Alexander Zhendov belongs to the group of the most progressive Bulgarian artists, who took an active port through their art in the severe class struggles waged by the working people to overthrow the rule of the bourgeoisie and the monarchy in Bulgaria. He devoted all his powers and abilities to this struggle. In his opinion art could serve no other aim. He made clever use of the powerful impact of art on the consciousness of the working people.
