Baedeker Specials deal with the Berlin Cabaret, the place of the city in German History, the Berlin Wall, the new building programme and the culture of the Berlin snack-bar Both the sights and the practical information sections are listed in alphabetical order.
The new Baedeker guides are noted for their concentration on essentials and their convenience of use. They contain numerous specially drawn plans and colour illustrations; and at the end of the book is a large map making it easy to locate the various places described in the "A to Z" section of the guide with the help of the co-ordinates given at the head of each entry.
