Cautionary Notice
When it comes to observing and analyzing human behavior, yours and that of others, it is unfair and potentially dangerous to take any article or book 100% literally. Some people read too much into the non-verbal behavior or body talk of themselves and others. But all too many people don't notice it enough, and that is the reason why this book has been written. To avoid embarrassment and hurt feelings, first check yourself out. There are over 40 self-awareness exercises in this book to help you. When you approach others about their behavior, do so in a kindly, oaring manner. Try to make it a shared experience. Non-verbal behavior, like any other behavior, should be meaningful, never manipulative. If you really care about people, let it show in your caring and sharing. That way the whole world can be just a little bit brighter!
