If you try counting the legs on a creepy crawly and find you can't, chances are you are looking at a myriapod, such as a millipede or centipede. They have lots of segments and lots and lots of legs! What is an arachnid? All arachnids have eight legs. Watch out however, other than spiders, a lot of arachnids look like insects so count carefully.
