INTRODUCTIONThe fifth issue of the Central European Political Science Review treats the topic of globalisation, régionalisation and nation. When choosing this title, we regarded these three issues as closely related, for the changes that occur are the consequences of their inter-relatedness. Our aim is to examine from many angles the relationship between globalisation, régionalisation and the nation state. This issue contains both theoretical and empirical articles as well as international comparative and case studies. Aiming at giving a complex picture, we selected studies from several different countries, from Central Europe to North and Latin America. One of the conference reports is the one about the annual Central European Political Science Association meeting, this year in Vienna, in which more than a hundred political scientists took part as presenters and listeners. Among the future objectives of the CEPSA is the creation of the legal basis for individual membership, which could mean a major break through in the regional organisation of political science. The editors of CEPSR welcome articles, conference reports and book reviews for publication, which focus on Central Europe of have message for the region.Editor
