INTRODUCTION
It is our pleasure to present to our honoured readers the first number of the fourth edition of the Central European Political Science Review. In 2000 we had each number of the review printed in grey, in 2001 we have chosen the green colour, in 2002 the colour of the review was yellow and in 2003 the colour is orange.
The letters of readers to editor point to the fact that during the last three years the CEPSR established its professional reputation among the scholars of social sciences. We expect that those politicians, political scientist, sociologist, media experts and intellectuals who are interested in Central European area would read with interest our forthcoming editions. The CEPSR Is a non-profit one, we do our editing work free of charge. That is why it is of great significance for the future of the review to have more and more subscribers. We have subscribers from 19 countries of the world by this time. The editors of CEPSR welcome articles, conference reports and book reviews for publication, which focus on Central Europe and Europe or have message for our region.
The thematic articles of No. 11 of CEPSR give a picture of the Role of Media in Central Europe and Europe. The No. 11 contains both theoretical and empirical articles as well as international comparative and case studies on the situation of the media.
