Civil Airliner Recognition [antikvár]

Introduction This third, colour édition of Civil Air-liner Récognition provides the airport visitor, the airline passenger and the interested bystander with a compact guide to the many and varied airliners likely to be seen over the skies of the western world. Ail of the major types are classified according to the number and type of engines as this is the first and foremost récognition feature. This is followed by basic technical information on one of the variants, the date that the first aircraft (usually the prototype) was flown, production details and an indication of some of the operators using this airliner either currently or in recent years. The main récognition features are listed and where there are several variants these are also noted. Photographs are used to aid récognition, and distinctive variants are also illustrated where possible. Some older types of aircraft such as the Handley-Page Herald remain in service in very small numbers; while at the other end of the time-scale there are new variants and types in the early stages of development and not yet in full service. These old and new airliners have been covered briefly in the final section. To assist in locating spécifié aircraft by name and/or manufacturer an index and cross-reference has also been provided.
