Bővebb ismertető
The Kent-Sussex coast, from Ramsgate in the east to Beachy Head in the west, divides this scene diagonally into two. Features in the English Channel clearly demonstrate ERS-l's potential for the detection of sea-bed features and for shipping using the Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) technique. For example, the swirling patterns in the water just to the east of Ramsgate are due to the Goodwin Sands. On land, both the M2 and M20 motorways to Dover and Folkestone can be seen, as can the nuclear power station at Dungeness, which appears as two bright patches on the headland.5
