Bővebb ismertető
The influence of culture on society is extensive and profound. Speaking about the influence of the novel Uncle Tom's Cabin on the American Civil War, Abraham Lincoln said to its author Harriet Beecher-Stowe, "So you're the little woman who wrote the book that made this great war."Culture is a field with a great variety of categories, different levels, functions and tolerance. Generally speaking, the functions and roles of culture in education, inspiration, molding of character, esthetics and enjoyment, are largely manifested in an indirect and profound way, and in subtle imperceptible change. In this sense, culture is like water, which silently seeps into and nurtures all forms of life.Culture is the best channel to reach people's hearts. It does so gradually and once it enters the heart, its effects are far-reaching; in this sense, we can say that culture is like water that permeates into people's hearts. The metaphor of using water for people has since long been a tradition in Chinese culture. Water has the virtue of benefiting all things on earth, the capacity to absorb hundreds of streams, the wisdom to give guidance in light of the general trend flex according to circumstances, the courage to continue a cause despite repeated setbacks, the beauty of the shapes given at the sight of things and the strength of constant dripping wearing away a stone.
