FOREWORD Paula and I have received Paul and Gretel's monthly teaching letter from their Resurrection Christian Ministries for almost 15 years now. We have greatly enjoyed reading their positive and uplifting teachings and are delighted that they have now collected many of the most potent and timely of them into this book (though it could well be twice as long!). Sometimes we have come home from trips so exhausted from teaching and from praying for so many broken servants of the Lord that it seemed hardly possible to keep putting one foot in front of another, but Paul and Gretel's encouraging words weuting for us among our stacks of mail helped to lift the cloud of fatigue and turn our eyes back to our victorious Lord Jesus. They enabled Him to renew our energies and to restore the outlook of hope that we all need to ceirry with us when we teach and minister to others. The subtitle of this book is "Letters of Faith and Encouragement to Overcoming Saints." It could just as well have been "Renewals of Fsuth, Hope, and Love" for that is what we and so many others have gleaned from this fruitful vineyard over the years. Our hope and prayer is that many sednts will find here nuggets that turn from the gold of simple wisdom to the bread of life that nourishes eind sustains.
