She could scream all she liked_____ FOREWORD In Doctors Of Death I have tried to probe the innermost feelings of the characters involved in each of the awful crimes described here. My intention is to give you a deep, unique insight into these killings. Doctors play a very special role in our society. So often, people trust them without question. But do they ever abuse trust? Clearly the answer is that doctors are just like the rest of us. They are prone to depression, anger and, sometimes, even murder. But what makes their crimes so chillingly terrifying is the coldness with which they murder. Doctors are trained NOT to show their true feelings to their patients. But, is it possible that occasionally they bottle up those thoughts so much that their only means of escape is to kill? Perhaps some of the cases described here might hold a few clues to this fascinating question. I have interviewed countless people during the course of my inquiries. But it was the families and friends of the defendants that really provided me with the ability to delve inside their minds and souls to explore the motives behind each killing. lb present a series of crimes in such vivid detail might upset those with a sensitive disposition.
