Bővebb ismertető
Arthur Peabody Goodpasture, proper Bos-tonian, was so insignificant that people standing in front of him often failed to see him. A born Boy Scout and a man of peace, Arthur went to San Marco for the Peace Corps as a banana expert-and there, caught in the crossfire of plot and counterplot, he proved that the meek can still inherit the earth. Or at least a tumultuous Caribbean island.
In these bouncy pages, besides the wide-eyed Arthur, there are the far-from-wide-eyed urchin Pepe ("This boy Pepe is one boy too many!"cried one man he outwitted); the sultry, gun-toting Conchita; the dictator El Toro, trying to outwit the eighth revolution against him; Coronel Veleta, who gallantly apologizes for having to kill Arthur; Eduardo, back in San Marco from a stint as an adman in New York; and the fierce revolutionary leader, El Gavilan, who has mysterious visitors from abroad____
But this is really Arthur Peabody Goodpasture's story. And a very funny one, too.
