EAHIL '97 Workshop [antikvár]

Budapest, 22 September 1997PrefaceThe magnificent building of the National Széchenyi Library in Budapest, Hungary forms the scenery for the Workshop "Managing Information in the New Electronic Age" between September 22-25, 1997. The Workshop has been organized by the Hungárián Association of Medical Libraries with the help and support of EAHIL.The main objective of EAHIL workshops is to exchange ideas about developments in library information services. These seminars have proved to be very effective means of achieving this goal, as shown by the success of the Prague meeting and we hope the Budapest Workshop will alsó be very successful.The theme of this year's symposium is "Managing information in the New Electronic Age".Information management and associated technologies are a driving force in health care and is an issue of growing importance in the Hungárián society.The contributions of the lecturers are brought together in this publication. Hopefully, the proceedings will be a fruitful contribution to the continuing discussion how to manage the new formes of information.Márta Virágos
