Practice Papers - English/Spoken English for Speakers of Other Languages - Advanced level Introduction This book of practice papers has been prepared as part of a growing rangé of support materials for teachers and students who are preparing for Pitman Qualifications examinations. For your convenience, in this book we have combined the standard English for Speakers of Other Languages papers at Advanced level, with the matching papers for Spoken English for Speakers of Other Languages, alsó at Advanced level. If you are only offering either the standard examination or the spoken examination, we hope this wili give you the opportunity to review the full rangé of our examinations at this level. Each practice paper in this book for the standard examination includes the Instructions for Invigilators that relate to the paper. These instructions are followed for Section A - Listening. The practice papers for the spoken examination reflect the form which these papers wili take after lst April 2002. After that date SESOL assessors wili be referred to as Interlocutors, and wili not be required to enter their own grades for candidates. The papers begin with the General Instructions for Interlocutors followed by Invigilator's Instructions. These instructions apply to all the spoken examinations. They are followed by the Interlocutor's Instructions for each specific examination and the related Candidate's Preparation Sheet. This section is complete with the mark sheet for the spoken examinations at Advanced level, which applies to all the papers. We hope you wili find this book a useful teaching aid.
