Sex education, as education for love, marriage and partnership, elected by the IUHE European Working Group on "Health Educationof Children and Young People in the Family and at School", is atheme of large interest for the efforts of the InternationalUnion for Health Education which is trying to stimulate a commonground of action in the european communities. It is an exemplarissue which can join parents, health and social education pro-fessionals in a common action for the promotion of health inyoungsters. We wish, in our programme, to pay more attention to the complexaction of education for health toward children and adolescents, and for this reason we have elected as the theme for the secondeuropean conference, which will take place in 199o, the analysisof communication problems with adolescents within health education. The results of the Nosvay seminary will be one of the most out-standing contributions to our discussion, as education for sexuallife is one of the first issues to be faced. The participation at the seminary of various professions in thefield of health und education, and also in journalism, justiceand school administration, together with parents and non-govern-mental organizations, demonstrates the wide approach to theproblem given by the organization. It demonstrates also thateducation for health is far beyond the medical approach, andcontributes largely to the development of health promotion. As it was underlined in the seminary the role of the family isof paramount importance, as the child acquires from his parentsmodels of relationships. But the father and mother should be aware of their influence andof their educational role, and the opportunities to discuss theseproblems should be provided for them by the institutions involvedin health education.School life is another opportunity for the child and adolescentto experiment relationships, to work and learn together is a wayto acquire consciousness of reciprocal roles in the society.
