Foreword"Enlargement is one of the most important opportunities for the European Union at the beginning of the 21=* century" pronounces the European Commission.As a unique and historic task to further European integration. Member States and Candidate Countries tribute more attention to the Future of the European Continent by elaborating a Constitutional Treaty for Europe.This publication contains a set of documents presenting authentic picture about the seventeen months of work supported by the Hungarian Convention Members, together with their Alternates devoted to the Future of Europe. It clearly demonstrates at what extent the MPs and Government Representatives of the Republic of Hungary actively contributed as successful completion ofConventional role determined by Hungarian proposals.The work of the Hungarian delegates in the Convention was highly appreciated due to their contributions strengthening the cohesion of a more diversified Europe by creating a solid base of values. The contributions presented in this publication were at the same time in line with institutional and decision making system reforms aiming at a more efficient, functioning, transparent Europe to bring closer its citizens as well as enabling Europe to play a greater role in the world.We hope this volume reflects many different aspects of Hungarian proposals and retains as a useful guide for experts, academics, students, and researchers studying in this area.The Editors
