INTRODUCTION
This book of Exercises in English for Foreign Students should prove most useful to all teachers and students of " English for Foreigners." It will not only serve to supplement the formal grammar and composition work of the class, but it will also provide some excellent material for oral and written composition, general conversation, and periodic tests.
The compilation of a book of this character demands a very great amount of patience. To be of much help to teacher and student alike it demands a practical experience of the subject, a knowledge of just what to include and what to leave out. To be interesting it demands an ability to arrange its different parts in a way that will hold the attention of the students. Miss Judd has shown that she possesses these qualities to an eminent degree.
These exercises are not intended for the very beginner in English. The teacher can select whichever exercise happens to be most suitable to supplement or complete any particular lesson. Since every single exercise in the book has been already used in class work, I am confident that this book will be welcomed both by teachers and students.
