Fifty-two stories for girls [antikvár]

PREFACE. HIS volume, like a similar volume of Stories for Boys, is issued with a view of preserving in a convenient form a number of stories for girls, which have appeared from time to time in magazines and annuals I have had the honour to edit. To these have been added others by representative writers hailing from both sides of the Atlantic, and one or two by authors belonging to a past generation. My thanks are due especially to my friends Lieut.-Col. Andrew J.
