This is the nine o'clock news report from Gemma Walker.
Good evening. This is Gemma Walker from ETV News. I'm in a small aeroplane above the volcano of San Miguel. Our cameraman, Martin Davis, is next to me. The air is very hot near the volcano. There's hot lava below us. There aren't any houses in this area . . . but there's a road. The lava is on the road, but it's very slow. Anything else? Yes, there's a car. Martin! Look, it's just below us now a small Silver car. There's lava in front of it, and lava behind it. Are there any people in the car, Martin? No, no . . . I'm sure. There aren't any people. The lava's very near the car.
There's the river over there, and behind it is the town of San Miguel and the airport. There are aeroplanes and helicopters from six countries down there. The airport's below us now. Those two big white aeroplanes are from Britain. The green and brown Sikorsky helicopters next to them are from the United States, and there are planes from Canada, Mexico, France, and Germany, too. There is food and medicine on the planes, and there are doctors and nurses. Well, that's all for now. Our next news is at eleven fifteen.
