This is the 4th edition of LP's Greece guide. The 1st edition was written by Rosemary Hall. The 2nd edition was updated by David Willett, Paul Hellander, Rosemary Hall and Kerry Kenihan, and the 3rd edition by David Willett, Paul Hellander, Rosemary Hall and Corinne Simcock, with David Willett coordinating both editions.
For this 4th edition, the coordinating author was again David Willett, who also updated the introductory chapters and the chapters on Athens, the Peloponnese and the Saronic Gulf Islands. Paul Hellander updated the Northern Greece, North-Eastern Aegean Islands, Ionian Islands and Evia the Sporades chapters. Rosemary Hall was responsible for the chapters on Central Greece and the Dodecanese, Jeanne Oliver looked after the Crete chapter, and Brigitte Barta updated the Cyclades chapter.

Production of this edition of Greece was coordinated by Shelley Muir (editorial) and Ann Jeffree (mapping and design). Susannah Farfor, Fiona Meiers, Ada Cheung, Kalya Ryan and Susie Ash-worth assisted with editing and proofing; Jacqui Saunders, Csanád Csutoros, Joelene Kowalski, Celia Wood, Sarah Sloane and Trudi Canavan assisted with mapping; and Kerrie Williams helped with indexing. New illustrations were provided by Martin Harris, Quentin Frayne prepared the Language section, and the cover was designed by Maria Vallianos. The Philosophy boxed text was written by Rowan McKinnon, and the Art Architecture section, originally written by Ann Moffat of the Australian National University, was revised by Virginia Maxwell. Most photographs were supplied by Lonely Planet Images, with the remainder supplied by various museums in Greece.
