Guide for Foreign Students Greetings Dear Student, Welcome to Hungary and the Facuity of Humanities of the Eötvös Loránd University. We are glad that you have chosen our university as a place to study in the following months or years. Ib receive foreign international students is a source of joy and pride for us, and we will try to do our best to make your stay in Budapest fruitful and pleasant in terms of the academic program and life in generál. We want to make you, a newly arrived student, feel at home in our country and university, which is exactly why we have prepared the booklet you are holding in your hands. Here we have tried to collect all the useful information you might need during your stay in Hungary. Somé of the things mentioned might be evident for you, while others might be 'matters of life and death.' You might alsó miss somé information so let us seize the opportunity to ask you to inform us about your problems or the things are missing from the book. (Of course congratulations are welcome, too!) We hope that the book will, as intended, make it easier for you to adapt yourself to life in a foreign country as well as to the life of the university, and we sincerely hope that the time you will spend here is going to be useful, interesting and exciting, both regarding your studies and your personal life.
