"Mama," said Hopper. "Why do I always have to be a little hare? Why can't I be a bird for a change?'
Hopper's mother smiled as he leaped about pretending to fly.
"I wish I could at least look different," he said. "Why do we all have to have white fur?"
"Not all hares are white," said his mother. "Many are brown, like the Easter bunny."
