FOREWORD To introduce the situation and the future of Hungárián hospitals has been a serious task for us, taking up writing this book. Our basic task was to make up a background material for the information of the participants of the IHF Congress in Budapest. However, as there had been no summary works in this field made up before, this aim was extended to provide information on Hungárián hospitals and the current situation of our reform processes for a broader circle of readers. We chose the method of building our book of chapters, written by outstanding experts in their field. The presentations are complete in their content, that were not cut in order to provide a uniform picture, only "introduced" in somé words to include in the entire work.
