MIKLÓS KOCSÁR
Born Debrecen, 21. 12. 1933. Studied composition at the Academy of Music, Budapest, under Ferenc Farkas. He was musical director, and conductor of the Madách Theatre. Since 1972 he has been professor at the Béla Bartók Conservatory, Budapest, teaching composition and theory of music. His song cycle "Lamenti" was performed at the 1968 Warsaw ISCM Festival. In 1973 he was awarded the Erkel Prize.
