It is timely and necessary to survey the set of probléma of the inter-relationships of present youth, of the 'main body' (i.e. the middle age-group) and of the old in our age in a world of the harmonic coexistence of gene-rations free of conflicts, or on the contrary, burdened with them. But to the study of these generations building the society and shaping the future, of their inter-relationships and co-operating activities the horizontal survey of the values of bygone ages based on broad foundations and outlining wide perspectives is indispen-sable and may offer positive trends within its own context with its historicity for the future.
Our present study - within its limited framework - natu-rally cannot cover all aspects of the topic. Here we intend to articulate only a single but so very much decisive segment of the problem, to be supported with international opinion and views that is a primary pre-condition of the transformátion of each generation and each society into a nation, i.e. education, or teaching in a broader sense. In the context of their mutual impact upon each other there is that kind of educating and teaching activity which is characterized by pedagogy as the personality-moulding one, or as the shaping of man.
The matter of education has become an universal phenomenon in our days. Educational shortcomings, or distortions by another term, that are manifest in the educational systems of individual countries, and, parallel to them, the quantitative outlook that has become dominant at each level of education, have had a harmful effect upon the development of personality
