FOREWORD Le développement des études et des applications sur champ de l'injection de COg est maintenant suffisamment avancé pour que les pétroliers puissent oornparer leurs connaissances et leurs résultats recouvrant l*enseirble des probl&- mes: sources, thermodynamique, essais de laboratoire équipements de champs, corrosion, essais pilotes, exploitations industrielles, simulation, économie. II a paru <2 SZKFI et IFI, qw-í collaborent depuis un certain terrcps dans ce domaine et d*une fagon complérnentaire que le moment était venu d3organiser un symposium international sur l'utilisation du CO^ pour la Récupération Assistée du Pétrole. Budapest a été choisi a cause de la proximité des champs exploités industriellement par ee procédé. Ce symposium, malgré sa grandié spécificité, a été un sucoes puisque 17 pays y ont participé. Les disoussions ont été animées et la visite de champ a été partiouli&rement suivie. SZKFI and IFP have been co-operating in this area in a complementary joint way for somé time. It seemed to them that the time has come to organize an international symposium on the application of CO^ for enhanced oil recovery. Budapest was chosen for this purpose since this town is situated near the fields where this method is being commercially us ed. This symposium was succesfull in spite of its strongly specific theme. Representativeé of 17 countries took part in it. The discussions were animated and the field excursion arose especially keen interest.
