In the preface of his book Elemér Szádeczky-Kardoss deals with the temporal evolution of the world concept developed and called by him "generál cycle theory". In the second half of the sixties the Department of Earth and Mining Sciences of the Hungárián Academy of Sciences organized annual conferences called "Material and Energy Flows". These conferences aimed at the synthesis of earth sciences in a uniform frame. Since the beginning of the seventies, the author tried to extend this effort concerning the unity of earth sciences to all phenomena of the world and he grouped the processes on the basis of their cyclicity (progression, culmination and regression) and presuming their interaction he comprehended them in a uniform system. He extended this comprehension to all branches of science, moreover to all humán activities. In the course of evolution of the sequence of thought he lectured the parts of the theory in the Scientific Committee on Geonomics of the Hungárián Academy of Sciences organized by him. In this fórum critics, contradictions and additions were made, so this Committee has become quasi the trustee of the author's sequence of thoughts called theory of generál cyclicity. Up to this point it has been a traditional method of research because when studying any process the first question is whether it exists or not, and if does, the questions are as follows: what kind of repetition can be recognized in the phenomenon in question, to what other phenomena can it be related
