Preface Ischemic heart disease remains a common and serious health problem. Every year, large numbers of patients die from ischemic heart disease and its complications and many others have acute myocardial infarction, serious congestive heart failure, or cardiac arrhythmias. In this book, we have described our clinical experience with this problem and insight into pathophysiological mechanisms and state of the art diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions used to combat ischemic heart disease.
