G - Growth Getting to aduit size. | Organisms are just Living Things j 1) All living things are made up of tiny building blocks known as cells. 2) These can be seen through a microscope - but it helps if you stain them first. 3) There are two types of cell you need to know about: ANIMAL and PLÁNT CELLS. Animál and Plánt Cells have Three Differences | An Animál Cell BOTH HAVE: A Plánt Cell ONLY PLANTS HAVE: 1) A Nucleus: This controis what the cell does. SIZE: about 1/100 mm. 2) Cytoplasm: This is a jelly-like stuff where all the chemical reactions happen. 3) A Cell Membrane: This is a thin skin around the cell - it holds the cell together and alsó controis what goes in and out. 1) Cell wall: A rigid coating made of cellulose - it gives support to the cell. SIZE: 40 times as big as an anlmal cell. 2) Vacuole: A large space fii led with cell sap - a weak solution of sugár and salts. 3) Chloroplasts: These contain chlorophvll used for photosynthesis.
