Once upon a time, when young people all over the world started to question old values, some-thing organic happened—a new language was born that evolved into the most powerful of reli-gion-like culture.
It was a form of music that everybody could understand. It didn't need special interpretation from the experts. It communicated directly with the people. The performers who made this music were becoming so very popular that they became the new Kings and Queens of the land and their music their religion.
However, the kingdoms had no borders. Anyone could choose to be part of a kingdom or leave it at will. Taxation happened voluntarily through the sale of records. A partial payment could be made by the purchase of a single. it was usually a very good example of the music the kingdom represented and was followed by one or two large discs per year to keep everyone—the mon-archs and the masses—satisfied. The amount of tax collected determined a kingdom's size and importance. This, of course, was not enough. The subjects demanded to see their ruler in person So, to keep them happy, special events were organized.
These were called concert tours.
At these events, additional taxes were collected in the form of merchandise sales. Of all the Kings and Queens, none grew as powerful and important as one of the leaders of an old, fading sovereignty. His kingdom crossed into many of the other kingdoms and even the rulers of the oth-ers subjugated themselves to him. His kingdom became a new Empire.
One day, the ruler of this Empire met the Queen of a small, isolated kingdom, Avantgardia, and they feli in love and joined their kingdoms. They issued discs (records) together. But the subjects of the Empire didn't want to support Avantgardia—it was too foreign for them. They tried every-thing to force the separation of the two kingdoms, but didn't succeed.
