Les Préludes [antikvár]

Die »Pr61udes« sind anfangs 1854 entstanden. Die Uraufführung fand unter der Leitung Liszts in einem Pensions-Konzert der Weimarer Hofkapelle am 23. Februar 1854 statt. Ursprünglich wurde das Werk als Chorwerk zu dem Gedicht »Les 4 elements« von Aubray entworfen und später umgearbeitet und auf Lamardnes Worte bezogen. •Les préludes« was written in the beginning of 1854. The first performance took place, under Liszt's direction, at a Pension-fund concert of the Weimar Court Orchestra, on February 23,1854. Liszt had originally intended the work as a choral composidon after the poem by Aubray »Les 4 elements« ; in its ultimate form it is based on Lamartine's words. * »Les Préludes« urent créés au début de l'année 1854. La premiere exécution eut lieu le 23 février 1854 sous la direction de Liszt dans un concert qui fut donné en faveur des musiciens de la chapelle du roi, a Weimar. L'oeuvre fut d'abord esquissée en forme de choeur d'apres la poésie »Les quatre éléments« par Aubray et fut changée ensuite d'apres les »Méditations« de Lamartine. FORMÜBERSICHT Die Vierteilung des Werkes ergibt sich aus Lamartines Text: Frühlings- und Liebesstimmungen (T. 1—108), Lebensstürme (T. 109 bis200), durch Liebe beruhigt, fried-lichesIdyll(T.201—344),Kampf und Sieg (345 bis Ende). Die beiden Hauptthemen (T. 35 ff und 70 ff) kehren in mannigfachen Variationen wieder. SYNOPSIS OF FORM In keeping with Lamartine's text, the work is in four sections: Moods of spring and love (bars 1—108); Storms of life (bars 109 —200); Comfort in love, Peaceful idyl (bars 201—344); Strife and victory (from bars 345 to the close). The two principal themes (bars 35 and foll., and bars 70 and foll.), in many variations, recur at various points of the composition. RÉSUMÉ DE LA FORME La division en 4 parties résulte du texte de Lamartine : Sensations du. printemps et désirs d'amotar (m. 1—108), agitations de la vie (m. 109—200), calmées par l'amour en une idylle paisible (m. 201—344), combat et viqtoire (m. 345 jusqu'a la fin). Les deux themes principaux (m. 35 1. s. et 70 1. s.) se repetent en multiples variations.
