Read about these tests, CATS and IjOOK SHARP ! This bookiet is a part of the LOOK SHARP! Project of Intern&tionai Mouse Language School, Hungary (IHLS). The aim of this project is to provide for the various needs of students of English, French, Germán, Hungárián, Italianf Russian and Spanish by offering them tests that enhance the eflklency of standard series of textbooks in a wide spectrum of skitts (grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, reading speed, listening comprehension, function etc.) and subjects (General Knowledge, General Science, History, Geography, Literature, Fine Arts, various fields of engineering, humán relations, management, personality tests, I.Q. tests etc.). All the LOOK SHARP! tests are classified according to language, skill or subject and levei The first character of the Test Nr. gives the language (E for English, F for French, D for Germán, H for Hungárián, I for Italian, R for Russian and S for Spanish), the second character gives the levei. The tests written for standard textbooks are classified by numbers 0 to 9 and they show the absolute levei of testing. The test booklets on specific subjects, however, are classified only according to the levei of comparative difficulty and this is referred to by letters A, B, C etc. This only means that levei A will probably be easier for most students than levei D. The third character of every Test Nr. denotes the particular skill or subject the test bookiet concentrates on. Though students may profit from the test booklets themselves, we encourage everybody to try to do the testing on our Computer Aided Testing System (CATS) at least once and then decide on the method to use. LOOK SHARP! and CATS combine the use of the printert page {True-Falsé-, Multiple Choice-7 Matching~T and Find the Odd Man type of tests) and that of a programmable pocket computer. It offers step by step feedback to the student by telling him whether hís answer was correct or not, displays the correct answer, caiculates the score and reading speedy measures the time and gives a printed certificate of achievement.
