The aim of this project is to provide for the various needs of students of English, French, German, Hungarian, Ralian, Rmaian and Spanish by offeriag them tests that enluiice tke ellktency of standard series of textbooks in a wide spectrum of sldlb (grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, reading speed, listening comprehension, function etc.) and snbjects (General Knowledge, General Science, History, Geography, Literature, Fine Arts, various fields of engineering, human relatbns, management, personality tests, LQ. testa etc.).AU the LOOK SHARPI tests are classified according to language, skill or subject and levd. The first character of the Test Nr. gives the langnage (E for English, F for French, D for German, H for Hungarian, I for Italian, R for Russian and S for Spanish), the second character gives the level. The tests written for standard textbooks are classified by numbers 0 to 9 and they show the absolide level of testing. The test booklets on specific subjects, however, are classified only according to the level of comparative difficulty and this is referred to by letters A, B, C etc. This only means that level A will probably be easier for most students than level D. The third character of every Test Nr. denotes the particular skill or subject the test booklet concentrates on.Though students may profit from the test booklets themselves, we encourage everybody to try to do the testing on our Computer Aided Testing System (CATS) at least once and then decide on the method to use.LOOK SHARP! and CATS combine the use of the printed page {True-FtJse-, Multiple Choice-, Matching-, and Find the Odd Man type of tests) and that of a programmable pocket computer. It offers step by step feedback to the student by telling him whether his answer was correct or not, dbplays the correct answer, calculates the score and reading speed, measures the time and gives a printed certificate of achievement.
