REPORT FROM CANADA: The Hungárián Research Institute of Canada at the University of Toronto, which was recently established under the joint auspices of the Rákóczi Foundation, the Széchényi Society of Calgary, and the University of Toronto, is rapidly completing its organizational structure and its program planning. How things are shaping up, is reported on Page 7 COLLEGE EURÓPA: A unique experiment in higher education is the College Európa program of St. John's University, Jamaica, N.Y.. which offers college students an opportunity to participate in credit-earning courses of study in Budapest. This program has proven to be so successful that the university is now making arrangements to invite Hungárián students to attend classes at their institution of higher learning. Hamvas, starts of this interesting new series on Hungárián achievers with a profilé of Alexander (Sándor) Kertesz, the founder of the Hungárián Art Theatre of Toronto and prize-winning actor and director. See Page 10 HUNGÁRIÁN HALL OF FAME: We continue this series by introducing to you the six American-Hungarians who were awarded the Congressional Medál of Honor for valor above and beyond the call of duty. To the best of our knowledge and belief, this is the first time that all six of them were identified, and it is hoped that each of them will be remembered by the Hungárián community in America. You will find out who they were on Page 11 IT HAPPENED THIS MONTH: This month of April is of special significance to the Hungárián community in generál and to the Rákóczi Foundation in particular. For it was on April 8, 1735, that one of the greatest Hungárián Freedom Fighters, Prince Ferenc Rákóczi II, died in lonely exile in Turkey. You'll find a brief remembrance of him on Page 16 THE LITERATURE OF HUNGARY: The poetry we're featuring this month was not authored by a famous Hungárián poet like Sándor Petőfi, for example. It was penned by one of our readers. You'll find Michael Juhasz's poems on Page 19 M1NDS OVER MONEY: Our Alexander Hody has been teliing you all about the insurance coverages (etc.) being offered by the 100-year-old William Penn Association. Now Mark Mochary of Shearson-Lehman Brothers, who is the brother-inlaw of Mary Mochary, will teli you all about "minds over money".
