Bővebb ismertető
IntroductionMicrosoft continues to roll out enhanced versions of its Office suite of products at a torrid pace. The latest versions of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Access, and the new Microsoft Outlook product complete the movement to full 32-bit applications that run on the Windows 95 or Windows NT platform. The Office 97 products also add significant Internet and intranet enhancements and are now more integrated than ever before, sharing the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) programming language as well as such exciting features as programmable command bars and the highly intelligent (and often amusing) Office Assistant.Since its introduction in 1992, Microsoft Access has sold almost 7 million copies (by Microsoft's count). This certainly gives Access reasonable claim to being the most popular desktop database in the world. As further testament, I've seen overflowing Access sessions at Microsoft's Tech*Ed conferences; I've taught oversold seminars about the product, from introductory to advanced levels; and I've seen everyone from novice end users to developers of advanced database applications make productive use of Access. The high volume of activity on the MSACCESS forum on CompuServe and the Microsoft Access User Newsgroups on the Internet are further examples of the high interest in the product.
