Molecular Cell Biology - Syllabus [antikvár]

3 PREFACE This Syllabus has been used since 1999 as an accessory learning aid deposited on the homepage of the Department of Medical Biology. Its former version consisted of brief summaries of the important terms of lectures in the Molecular Cell Biology course. Upon suggestions by first year students, we updated this material, added figures to the text and offer it to the students as a printed handout. Lectures in the Molecular Cell Biology course are largely based on the official textbook of the course (G.M. Cooper; R.E. Hausman: The Cell. A Molecular Approach. ASM Press, Washington, D.C., 2009.). Although we think that the Syllabus can be a useful guide to prepare for the seminars and the exams, it does not make attending lectures and reviewing textbooks superfluous. In fact, if it is used properly, it can increase the efficacy of other forms of learning. Comments and suggestions to further improve this material are welcome.
