Bővebb ismertető
This book is designed to meet a young child's enthusiasm for learning, It uses exercises based on a main theme which remains the same throughout the book. The exercises range through a spectrum of difficulty, teaching the child to both understand and accomplish further problems without intervention. Once the child has learnt the basic rule behind any problem there should be no reason to teach It again in the future. The exercises are self explanatory and only require the adult to look on while the emphasis for learning is placed with the child.
The excércises are as follows:
Reading and writing numbers and letters: Where the whole of the alphabet and numbers up to 30 are introduced, the child participates in the reading and the writing with the first number or letter being drawn over and then copied.
Addition and Subtraction: Where the basic rules of mathematics are taught by the introduction of shapes and animals, space is provided to write the answer to the question.
Shapes, Sizes and Types: Where the child's ability to recognise shape, size and type Is brought to the fore, the child is confronted with the shapes and has to decide which is the answer to the question posed at the top of the page.
First Words: Here the experience of letter recognition discovered in the first section is put to good use, pictures are provided of key words which are used to trigger the brain's reaction to certain objects. In order to make the link between sound, shape and written words.
