The aim of this course is to make learning English as fun and as easy as possible for both students and teachers. Yippee! is based on the Multiple Intelligences Theory, which holds that each person perceives and understands the world differently and, as a result, not all learners learn in the same way. (Detailed explanation given on p.5 of the Teacher's Book.) Therefore, songs, games, role-play, storytelling and co-operative learning have a significant pedagogic role. The course also focuses on teaching English as a native speaker learns it. Students are immersed in the language and learn by listening and speaking first, before they learn to read and write.
