Bővebb ismertető
Today, the Germán Democratic Republic is a land of workers and farmers - of writers and poets - of scientists and teachers; a country which gives to all of its people a chance to develop their talents, their abilities. The nine tales in this collection reflect this new Germany: They are stories of present-day problems and people, on the farms and in the factories, and of a divided Berlin. More, they teli of the Germans who fought against their Nazi rulers. They are written by men and women whose talents never could have come to light under the old caste-bound Prussian system. The world cannot forget that this is happening in the country with a tradition of classic militarism that for seven decades, from Bismarck to Hitler, wrought havoc to the peace of the world. These stories are dedicated to peace. They are an assurance to the world that in the Germán Democratic Republic, an old land, people can change and new shapes arise.
