It is my great pleasure to welcome all of you to the 8íh International Symposium of Hungárián Researchers 011 Computational Intelligence and Informatics. This annual Symposium was launched by Budapest Tech (previously Budapest Polytechnic) and Hungárián Fuzzy Association in 2000 with the aim to bring together Hungárián speaking researchers working on Computational Intelligent and related topics from all over the world but with speciaí emphasis on the Central European Region. This year we are celebrating the 8!l1 anniversary of the evení having 58 reviewed papers and 63 preseníations. The growing interests, the enthusiasm of the participants have proved thai the Symposium has become an internationally recognized scientific event providing a good platform for the annual meeting of Hungárián Researchers. I would like to thank the work of the organizers and the sponsors. The event could not be organized without the full support of Budapest Tech.
