Foreword The present volume contains 71 papers, presented on the seventh Symposium of AER, held in Hörnitz near Zittau, Germany, 23 - 26 September 1997. The papers are presented in their originál form, i.e. no corrections or modifications were carried out. The content of this volume is divided into thematic groups: Spectral and Core Calculations, Neutron Kinetics, Reactor Dynamics and Safety Analysis, Core Calculations and Reactor Operation, Fuel Behaviour and Fuel Management, Criticality Safety, Spent Fuel and Decommissioning, Core Monitoring and Surveillance, Safety Related Thermal Hydraulics and Fluid Mechanics - according to the presentation sequence on the Symposium.
