PREFACE This booklet is brought to you as a service of Novo Nordisk A/s. It contains a summary of the presentations given at two scientific sessions both made possible by educational grants from Novo Nordisk. The sessions took place at the Third International Symposium on Osteoporosis, Copenhagen, Denmark, 14-20 October 1990, and the Sixth International Congress on the Menopause, Bangkok, Thailand 29 October - 2 November 1990. The presentations were given by leading scientists in the field of the menopause and osteoporosis, who gave overview lectures on our current knowledge of how to manage the menopause and how to diagnose, prevent and treat osteoporosis.
